OverallThe most important thing Durham taught me was the global and objective view on global issues. Durham University is the place where I became a true citizen of the world. The basis of all courses was your own initiative and readiness to dig deep into the problem by yourself, though all the teachers were always supportive and ready to help. It has taught me to formulate my own opinions and positions clearly and make a good argument. The experience of studying there has also given me an understanding of different cultures and people that made me a person capable to understand different points of view and tolerate and accept everyone.

The international student experience in Durham is a very enjoyable experience and i would recommand it to anyone. You will always win something for your personal enhancement. If you are rather shy, do not hesitate to join clubs and societies as you will meet many people and that will help your socialisation.

Durham university offers a wide range of courses with a great quality of teaching especially when it comes to the humanities. I am history student and love the way the teachers and the courses push you to develop your critical thinking and analysis skills.
Durham is a student town and offers an amazing campus with old and beautiful buildings but also a brand new library and teaching centers.
