well, I arrived at the univerity during the change of the system, in this way there were not clear ideas about the couses but all techers were ready to help you and to find the best solution, so i didn't find any problems. all of them were very well organized even when they were in norvegian i find out the way to follow them and to pass the exams with good grades.

Logement
Type de logement: Appartement/maison

Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison
Pourquoi?
I lived in a house at Stakkevollan which is about 20 minutes to university and 60 minutes to "downtown". The accomodation was superb, I didn't miss anything, and the costs for it were absolutely OK.

Of course not all student hostels/homes are like mine, there are actually two or three I wouldn't like to live, but you can change your accomodation if you want. Compared to my experiences in Germany accomodation was much better in Tromsø.

the house was big and pretty new, my room was very nice. all the system in Tromso was very well organized and easy to manage, with a big laundry and all the space for different activities. all the small houses were in a sweet campus with lot of students, many of them norvegians and many other internationals. the connection between the campus and the university was always working so well. i was entusiastic.

i didn't find any problems, first of all because my english was already very good and then because norvegians seak also a very good english. a good things was the organization of norvegian language courses for all the year and was a fantastic oportunity to learn a new language even if i didn't find the way to practice it after my study experience in Noerway.

Easy question! Norway is the most expensive country in the world, but I knew this before, and I dealt well with it. If you want you can work besides your studies, and then you deal even better. Of course you might run into problems (as some friends did) when you are used to regular drinking and smoking.

Yes! Don't drink, don't smoke, don't buy meat too often, then you should do fine. It's hard to have the same standard of living in Norway as in Central Europe, when you want to live cheap.

Primarily I came to Norway to increase my knowledgt of my Norwegian (one of my main studies at home), but the Arctic Norway course, which is taught in English changed this a bit. Anyway my Norwegian increased as well, primarily outside classes
