Don't miss Bla bar, it's a really nice place near the river where you may find all the best bands of norway. You also have the coffe hour at the university where you may meet a lot of international students.

Recommandations de cours
Choose the courses according to the assessment method, there's a broad choice: if you choose the home exam option, it may take two weeks to pass an exam instead of 6 months... but of course it depends on the subject. Take Norwegian language courses and give your best; it may seem unnecessary, but if you wanna spend a whole semester or year together with non-locals only... ya know what I mean?

Commentaire personnel
Learn Norwegian, it may seem difficult but it's not, especially if you attend classes and live together with the people. If you don't, you'll certainly regret it, believe me!

Food is the most important issue. Almost everything is imported, so it's very expensive, and what is not imported (potatoes and little more) is produced at the very high Norwegian wages, so it costs quite much all the same. Housing was less expensive than in my city, because there's a lot of space for students in Oslo. Nightlife was the same as at home (so pretty high!) but you have to consider that getting to the place is very expensive, since public transport costs a lot (about 60€/month for a monthly prepaid ticket, 90€ for non-students; single fare: about 2,60€).

Commentaire personnel
Go to the immigrants' market, open every day in Grønland (near the bus terminal), it's VERY cheap! Books and photocopies are VERY expensive, try to loan them in the library and copy only what you really need.

How difficult is to get cross country skies throught the university (it is way cheaper than rent them somewhere for the winter season)

Language summer course
Karar h
Norvège, Autres formations
, 2021
Évaluation globale
I have applied for norwegian summer course and applied my documents before deadline 23/4 and then sent an email asking if there are further documents needed, instead of pointing out the rest of the documents needed, i have been told to go back to admission link which wasnt much of help from their side.
A month later i get to know that my application was denied due to some missing documents and have been told to wait for fall semester to register again as i have missed the deadline date for uploading my documents....
However, im still in contact with admission office to know why i was not qualified for the language summer course, they tell me that they have sent an email to me on 23rd telling me to upload more documents. Now i have checked all my emails and i can not find that email on 23rd they are talking about.
I wrote another email saying i havent received the email but i got a reply for my email with an email saying: as i mentioned before you received an email etc...., i did everything the right way and even emailed to ensure i have uploaded everything needed.
Mistake was not from my side as they claim i have received an email that i havent received. Its very disappointing planning my summer for the course that i wont join due to a mistake caused by the university and im blamed for it as they wont accept the fact that its their fault.

Points forts
So far nothing
Inconvénients
Irresponsible for their mistakes, not accurate with details and information, admission office lack english skills as they can not understand my email as i have to repeat my point more than 3 times in 3 different emails so communication skills is bad

it is really well organized and you are supposed to work hard, due to really strict marks. So being an Erasmus studnet in Oslo does not mean party all the day. At teh end of my courses I locked myself at home for studying.

If you want to go to Norway, it is better having a grant, that helps you to cover up most of the expenses. otherwise you have to be sure to have a proper ammount of savings. The Erasmus grant is almost nothing.
