Housing
Type of housing: living in with the landlord but seperately
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
the new campus is expenxsive to live on but offers a high quality of living. the student house , which is a second sight is also a good one. each person has a room with his/her own sanitary facilities. It is less expensive.

Personal comments
The Netherlands is very well known for its difficult accomodation. Utrecht is all the mre a sensitive place on this issue. It is extremely difficult to find housing. Native students are on waiting lists for three or four years! Most of the housing is with shared toilets and bathroom. I have just left my first accomodation living-in with the landlord and now, after three months, the housing office has found me a place where I share sanitaries with six other people. I hope I will find something else soon but for the moment it will do.

The management of group work could have been better. If a bad student was in your group it could have the effect of reducing your overall grade which was out of your control.

Course recommendations
I wish that there would have been more to choose from in my particular field (international relations). However, the international law courses were quite good.

If returning, I would choose: International Student house
Why?
I had my own room, yet I was able to live in the same corridor as five other exchange students from around the world. I was able to meet a fantastic group of people.

Personal comments
The accomodation was located in the city center, very close to my law classes. Besides the great location, I met many international students from Europe and Australia, with whom I will keep in touch. The international student house was ideal to get a truly international experience.
