we went of many excurisions, mountain climbing, and city tours. My favorite city tour was to carcasson. We also got to visit some chateaux. My favoritt Cafe was a place in the centre ville where they served the best paninnies

Final comments
travel tips...recommend that student bring their own laptop, or any other means of distraction. Perpignan is a little town, and things tend to close down early. Benefit from all the traveling opportunities available...being in Perpignan(so close to both Spain and Italy) traveling was very easy. keep an open mind, also.

I was fairly adept at speaking French before I attended Perpignan, so my knowledge was minimal. I improved my grammatical skills immensely but vocabularly and accent did not improve that much.

At first it was difficult for me because before I went to the host country I really didn't speak the language. Living with a french family truly made my experience better. I learned more about the culture, language, and customs than I would have if I lived by my self. I think thats the best way to advance and take advantage of the experience. I have learned so much. I still keep in touch with my family
