I had the possibility to travel all over the europe at a normal price, to have fun in the nigthlife at a very cheap price in Louvain and meet people from all over the world, and have experience in international environmente becouse I was near European institutions.
I was housing in Brussels but i knew people in Erasmus linving in Louvain-la-Neuve who had preferred to housing in Brussels if they had known.

It's easier to have allways information in this university and they know perfectly how is the better way to help the news students. Only one recommendation if you want eat in a good resaturant and cheap go to the "Piano".

The Universit~{(&~} Catholique de Louvain is an excellent university. If it could make some improvements/ progresses in the 3 points mentioned above, it could be one of the best.

I would recommend to be open minded, talk to everyone, participate in everything you can, travel, go to class too. The main recommendation is, I repeat, meet native people. Don't stay all day with people of your country talking in your language, be open minded.
The Belgian Students usually don't care about how much dirty dishes there are in the kitchen; be prepared for that!

Louvain-la-Neuve is a city a young city and a city for mainly built for students. The students of Louvain-la-Neuve have developped their own "studen-culture" which means it can happen that people just play drums at 3 AM in the morning in front of the Grand-Place. So be prepared to face that challenge!
