It´s the best way to meet austrian students and other foreign students. I think living together with foreign people is a great experience.

Universität Wien has got a housing service for students which works really well. They have rooms in a lot of residences near the university, most of them are quite modern and comfortable.

You are with other students all the time- you meet people not only from Austria but from all over the world

It had everything you need- kitchen, bathroom, etc. However, it's very different than a dorm in the U.S., but that is part of the experience. I can still smell the hallways, and it will always be in my heart:)
