Well, the courses I took were in english, but of course, to survive and get to know local students, one must try to learn some German or Swiss German. However, everyone does speak English.

For a German native speaker it is no problem to get organized unless you do not mind 'Schwyzerdütsch'. English courses are a nice chance to improve language skills.
