Personal spending habits
Food, acommodation and nightlife are cheaper than in Norway. There was an increased need for staying in touch with people, therefore more in telephone. I traveled I lot more than at home. So much more that the overall expenses were larger than at home.

Unfortunately I had to take so many academic courses, that I had no time for language courses, which where free for students. I also interacted most with scandinavian people, therefore my language skills didn't improve much.

Personal recommendation
It's difficult to recommend or not recommend this university, it depends on how many courses you need to take, to satisfy your home university. We had to do more than the german students, and that was to much for an exchange students. But I had a lot of fun and met a lot of people, and it's a good travelling centre.

Personal comments
Most of the exchange students lived in student residences. These varied very much. So I'll recommend Am Steingarten or Carl Zuckmayer Strasse. Better connection to city all night, and close to park and swimmingpool.
