I have just graduated from there and am happy to leave it. Their are almost no elective course (10 ECTS out of 180).
Their is a lot of accounting compared to other universities. If you are not part of the students after 2 semsters the university will treat you worse. Your treatement is linked to your grades. If you are part of the best you get a good exchange university, an easier thesis to write and even free books in accounting one time.
I think smart people come out of this univerity, not because of the university itself but rather due to the quality of the students coming in.

Mannheim is a simple place. This is to be compensated by the University, activities and community. I believe there is no difference in fun w/ internationals between countries/cities; however i.e. Berlin provides more inducements.
