Bring plenty of warmn clothes and skiing equipment to avail of some of the best mountains in europe. Be prepared to make contact with the friendly locals. They are easy going and most of the time are prepared to help you out.

If you intend to travel a lot, buy a train-card, it will be cheaper at the end. Visit Salzburg, Vienna, and Munich for sure. They are all easy to access. Go skiing. Check out the Last-Minute-Flights at the L'Tur office - I visited London with minimum expenses.

Final comments
Flights to Innsbruck can be pretty expensive, I'd recommend going with a budget airline to Salzburg, then get the train from there to Innsbruck. Otherwise you end up spending a fortune.

I loved to study in Innsbruck, not just the mountain area, which surrounded us everyday, was amazing, the professors are extremley motivated and professional.
This university offers a highly amount of different courses, which gives a student the possibility to specialize their subject of interest closer.

I would advice anyone that want to travel abroad to look into the university of Innsbruck. Innsbruack is beautiful, there are many activitis, great social life, and intresting culture.

get a train vorteilskarte (cheap and worth it). buy a season pass as soon as you can (you can probably sell it when you leave). make sure you go to sigi's!
