I wish I had known...
If I had known how many and how good courses, available in English, they were offering, I could have sorted the equivalences with my home university better.

Personal recommendation
Go there to study and to travel, if you go. In Forlí there are other students too, but certainly not that many as in Bologna. So if it's nightlife and 'ordinary Erasmus' that you're after, go to a bigger place.

When travelling in Italy, skip the north. The south is much more fun.

Very good University

Overall
The University of Bologna is a very ancient institution with a vibrant environment: international students occur from all over the World. I had the chance of attending lectures held by Higher Courts judges from the first year and to go to Courts with some professors, to do the Erasmus abroad, to study many subjects (elective) that made me aware of the field I would like to work in.

Studying in Bologna

Overall
I would definitely recommend the universities of Italy and Bologna precisely to other students because it is the place to further your education for the reasons that it is well organised, equipped, the programs are many with a high number of English ones thus, you just have to choose which one suits you best , the professors are open to discussion and you also have the possibility to have study grants both in Italy from the University or ER.GO and out of Italy like the Erasmus. If you wish to come to Italy or Bologna for a study purpose, my answer is yes come and I would assure that you will not regret your decision and of course you will also have some work to do on your part for the experience to be best. I received the ER.GO full study grant for studies, and it was very helpful most especially for housing which is something very difficult to get here in Bologna. As advice I would recommend to always visit their website to be up to date and provide/do all the necessary things to be done on time and if you are stuck, ask for help from the qualified office which is always ready to help. Also, the University of Bologna offers a very nice follow up of prospect students in most cases and thus It will be very judicious to think of this before coming to Italy. Concerning the language barrier, don’t worry many Italians speak good English from my experience and also being a very touristic country there is always a way out you just need to have the zeal and as they say ‘no pain no gain’.

Master's degree in Management

Overall
I would like to talk about my experiences as a student in Management at the university of Bologna: this course gave me the chance to improve not only my management skills but also the marketing and selling ones, in order to have a more complete background. I also appreciated the large amount of teamworkings, something I consider very useful for my future career.

Best Law faculty in Italy
Niccolò G
Italy, Graduate
Law, 2021
Overall
Bologna is certainly one of the most active and lively university cities in Europe. The university historically has a tradition of excellence; in particular, the faculty of law has always been a point of reference at a European and international level. Challenging courses with prominent professors, busy university life and lots of people enrolled.
