Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The residenze universitarie enforced strict curfews which didn't mesh well with the lifestyles of carefree "erasmus" and study abroad students, therefore some of us ran into some trouble along the way. Furthermore., my last month in Siena, I moved out to a private apartment, and it's a much better way to feel like you're actually, independently, a part of the society.

Personal comments
The housing was good enough, the prices were very reasonable, the facilities comfortable, and the locations very desirable. In any case, student housing is a great place to start in Siena, even if it is one's intention to eventually move elsewhere during one's stay.

Overall
University of Siena has one of the most industry relevant courses that combine theory and practice to make learning a fun. One essential aspect of the university is that the teaching staff are made up of internationally acclaimed professors who are top notch both in teaching and research. One thing that is so amazing about the university of Siena is that the student body is internationally oriented with students from every continent of the world meaning there is cultural diversity in the university of Siena. Being located in a historical city if Siena, the campus of the university is the entire city itself. The university of Siena stands out from the rest as campus life is engaging, entertaining and enthusiastic with several students support services that make students life lively.

I lived in a house with 20 persons from all nationalities. This way, I really got to know the cultural differences between European countries. And I made friends for life!

The location could not have been better: 1 minute from Piazza del Campo! Only the technical aspects were sometimes disappointing. For example: we only got warm water after 3 weeks and when something was broken it took a while before it was fixed! But at that time it didn't bother me much. Typically Italy! ;-)
