I managed to check out the residence during my first semester and although for student halls they are quite expensive, the experience of living with the other Italian and exchange students in such a good location is one I would liked to have had.

The best one would have to be the Pensionato Bocconi, it has an underground link to the unversity so in winter you don't have to even go outside to get to class - FANTASTIC. Problems with these halls is that the toilet and shower facilites are all communal and there are no cooking facilites, however the Mensa is located on the ground floor. I stayed in Capitanio which have cooking facilites, tv rooms with digital tv and games room/study rooms plus internet facilty, these too would be a very good choice of accommodation. Finding private appartments in Milan is very difficult and I would suggest applying for student accommodation if you are planning on studying here.
