Bocconi has a great exchange course. The International office are fantastic, the Student Exchange Network are too. Courses are offered in English and Italian, some you can follow in Italian then take the final exma in English if you wish.

If you intend to study english courses, check out the booklist before you go, beacuse if you have room in your suitcase you could save yourself alot of money than buying the imported books out there. Also always make sure when travelling on the trains that you don't have to prebook your seats, I got on a train to Lake Como and didn't realise you had to book and was fined!

Do not expect a radical academic progress but enjoy the social and cultural aspect of the exchange period :)

Milan is a perfect transport hub for travelling and the transport is quite cheap. In Italy you will find too many things to see everywhere :) Be ready for the "Italian" culture as soon as you get used to their different way of thinking the stay in Italy turns to be perfect!

Never take more than you need with you. It became a hassle to have too much luggage especially because by the time you leave there is so much you have accumulated shopping.

Explore the facility and become involved with their international student's network. Italian students run activities for international students. Do not be afraid to interact with the locals, they are more than willing to help. Italians are generous people so do not be intimidated.

Make sure that you apply on time for courses at Bocconi through your nearest Italian consulate. Once you are there make sure you talk to people about the city, it can be dangerous if you look like a tourist. Always carry an I.D. and do not forget to take a map with you and buy transportation tickets before going on the tram/bus/or metro.

Open a bank account and transfer the money you think you'll need at the beginning. This will save you the costs of taking money out at the atm, which only lets you take out 250euro per atm machine per day.

milan is a cool place, especially at night; the student network "organises" a party location for each day of the week except monday - so plenty to do. besides there is a huge number of places, from trendy to relaxed, just look around and find your favourite place - a booklet named "02" lists the spots to be(is available in bars and cafes across town)
