Personal recommendation
The university is quite small (1300) and the town is quite small (50 000). I would prefer Lyon, Marseille and many other cities over Troyes but in the end Troyes is OK as well.

Final comments
Troyes is not the best choise if you want to party. If you just want to spend some time abroad, learn some French, study a couple of courses and have som good time Troyes will offer you all of this. Nothing spectacular.

I started my enenering school their. I appreciate this school because Equipment were mostly new, we had an internet access and computer in selfservice (we was in 1998, at this time it was the begining of internet). Moreover, teachers were yong and turned to industrial company. We practice and done some duty for company like alvare. It was my first real experience as engeneer.

Classes are mostly good but ask other students who have already taken the courses before you make your choice since the quality on the courses does vary
