I would say it´s rather difficult to find cheap accomodation in the heart of Lisbon even when the appartments were old and sometimes ancient, but it always depend on what are your preferences.

At the end of the evening, nightlife is pretty expensive, that was a great surprise, especially because I had to take the taxi home most of the time. Cost-saving tips: cook more yourself!!!

If you cook for your self or eat at some cheap university cantines you can save money on food. You can save money on phone if you take special packages.

open a bank account in Portugal, otherwise you have to pay taxes everytime you get money from your bank!
