Because I study in Dublin where all of the above are much more expensive than in San Sebastian although my phone bill was more or less the same.

At first it was hard because at times it was hard to interact with the locals but there were many international students to meet and talk to and as the year progressed we made friends with some of the locals so that was worthwhile.

There's a very friendly cafe-pintxo place on Calle Dato called Dato 5 and a popular and easy-going bar in the old town close to the Plaza called El 7, that I recommend. Loft and Circulo were the night clubs I mainly went to.
