The native language is Basque. And although everybody speaks Spanish Basque comunication skills are highly recomended.

Communication wasn't at all a problem in San Sebastian as the instructors and the local people were so helpful and open to students coming in and learning the language.

Everything in el parte viejo is a hot spot. Amazing cafes and bars. The whole city of San Sebastian is just raging. So, there's not any particular one that stands out.

The Parte Vieja (the old part) has great nightlife. food and drink are very reasonably priced and most things are within walking distance. Lots of places to go out.

I love thursday nights at 'El cine' and after that 'La rotonda'. Really the place to be!!!!! Of course the pubs in Parte Vieja are also a lot of fun!
