I wish I had known...
If i had a great grasp of Spanish beforehand it would have made it easier for me at the beginning.

The University is fairly good but i cannot complement the city of Zaragoza enough. It is superb. Forget the the Costa Del Sol, go to real Spain, go to Zaragoza!!!

Ryanair fly directly into Zaragoza from Milan (Bergamo) and London (Stansted)which is inexpensive and good value in my view, watch the weight of your luggage though! It is good to arrive in the city a few weeks before your course starts as you can get used of the place. accommodation is easily found, check the notice boards in the main campus. You can get a good flat for €40 per week. The faculties are spread out all over the city but there is a very efficient and cheap bus network.

Travel tips: It is very easy to get anywhere in Spain and you should do that. It is realy a beautiful country with many different things to do. You can ski for one day in the Pirineos and the other day ly on the beach of San Sebastian. Do not hesitate to visit the countryside with the cheaper prices, more friendlier people and overwhelming tapas! Personal favour spots: Barcelona, Cadiz, Valencia, Sevilla en little villages such as Cuenca.

I travelled all over spain whilst studying in Zaragoza. By bus you are about 3 hours from Barcelona and Madrid, from where you can easily access the whole of Spain. Iberia did deals for 10,000 ptas about €60 to travel anywhere in Spain if you are under 26. Barcelona is a must and so is the south of Spain.

It's near enough to go to Barcelona quite frequently, I don't think I took advantage of that.
