I wish I had known...

Personal recommendation
The university is very traditional in its teaching methods (very little interaction between teachers-students: teachers teach, students learn.) Recieved very little help from the university during our time there. The registration process was more complicated adn less well organised than in the UK and that wasn't only because it was in a foreign language.

Valladolid isn't necessarily the prettiest of places in Spain but there's a lot going on and a very good nightlife. It's only a couple of hours' by coach/train from Madrid and half that from Salamanca, which has the night life of Valladolid but is a lovely place to visit anyway. Valladolid could also sometimes seem a bit stuffy and traditional but there is a counter-culture.

Mi experiencia en la universidad ha sido no demasiado agradable, me esperaba otra cosa cuando lo empecé. No se profundizaba en los ámbitos de las finanzas que a mi realmente me interesaban.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
-to be able to chose the people I'm going to live with
-in an apartment there's usually more space
-more independence

Personal comments
-there is the possiblility to live in "alojamientos", provided by the university. Similar to dorms in the US (there's a cafeteria for meals and a cleaningperson)
- to look for apartments students get here one or two weeks before semester begin, people her rent single rooms, and it is not unusual to pay the rent in cash

La universidad de Valladolid no es mala, pero hay ciertos grados que están anticuados debido al acomodamiento del profesorado.
