Final comments
We travelled a lot. At www.holidaycar.de you can rent a car quite cheap. Get in contact with spanish people if you have the chance. It's much more interesting than spending all the time with other Erasmus.

Gran Universidad
Marta A
Spain, Undergraduate
Law, 2024
Overall

the location couldn´t have been better, because you only had to go to university by feed for 10 minutes. furthermore all the other erasmus people lived closed to my house and almost all the parties have been closed to my house. you get help from the university to find a accomodation.

Overall
PROS: 1. The university emphasizes a true work-life balance. In other words, it is not difficult as a student to find time to hang out with friends and engage in hobbies.
2. Numerous classrooms have many international students.
3. The University is safe with the ID cards students must use to enter in the building.
CONS: 1. Most of the Spanish students my international peers and I came across were not friendly.
2. Professors will respond to students' emails 30% of the time.
3. At the beginning of the semester, many courses, which students registered for, were dropped. Thus, we had to scramble to rearrange our schedule while the semester had just started.
4. If you fail your final exam, no matter how well you did in the course assignments/projects, you have failed the entire course. Unfortunately,  there is no official date for students to receive their final grades, so they have to "guess" when they should book their flight back home if they are international students. They also do not allow exchange students to take exams at home if there is an emergency. Thus, they would have to stay in the city for one more month and rebook their flight if they would like to retake the exams.
5. The students here are not serious about their work.
Overall, it was an ok experience. Just make sure you do your research before enrolling in this university

Personal spending habits
I had an expensive housing situation, usually it is very comparable. I come from a very cheap part of my country, so I expected things to be more expensive. Travel was cheaper though - I love public transportation!
