Personal social experience
Personal comments
Spanish culture involves having a extense social life.Going to a cafe or a bar on a daily basis is a basic way of life in Spain. I was already used to such a culture after having already lived in Argentina in the past.
My favourite "barrios" in Madrid are La Latina, Malasana, Santiago Bernabeu and Huertas. Each of these neighborhoods has its own style and character. In malasana and La Latina bars and people were more bohemian, while in other areas I would encounter academics and working professionals.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
First of all I prefer to choose the neighborhood and apartment/house of my choice. It may take longer to find something adequate to my selection, but at least I am sure to find a place that suits my taste and financial budget. Residing in the apartement of my choice enables me to have my own independence.

Academic
Course recommendations
Universidad Pontificia Comillas offers a wide range of courses. Many of these modules are not provided at other universities. These courses vary from Official Protocol in Foreign and Corporate Affairs to Global Business Negotiations. These modules will boost your personal abilities rather than enhance your academic knowledge. Courses involve a small number of students which helps to create a more personal relationship with the professor.

Personal comments
Before arriving in Madrid my oral Spanish was fluent as I speak Spanish with my Argentine father. Moreover, my written level was not of the highest standards. The reason for this was I had gone to school for short intervals during my stay in Spanish speaking countries.
The year I spent in Madrid helped me perfect my written Spanish. I discovered different accents and slangs which bolstered my lexical analysis and comprehension.
