Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
1. I can go the university without having to worry about travel time. 2. As basic services are offered such as food, laundry, room cleaning, etc. I can devote my time to academic activities. 3. Living with other international students provide me an opportunity to learn about the different cultures.

Personal comments
It´s an ideal place for international students wanting to explore the culture of learning, free from hassles of doing daily chores like cooking and laundry. Room assignments are properly arranged in such a way that no two or three people from the same country are located in the same floor - providing each one the opportunity to mingle with other nationalities. There´s a library with complete and impressive collection of books. Plus the computer room with internet connection that gives us the mental peace of not having to compute computer rentals and where we can do our research papers 24 hours a day. Likewise we have a gymn and a football/tennis court for sports buff. In summer, we can take a plunge in the properly maintained swimming pool. Meals are served and we have a good choice from mediterranean recipes to continental cuisines. Staying here doesn´t give anyone an excuse to fail in his studies.

Well, Complutense is the biggest university in Spain. There are some red tape problems and not everything is clear to a foreigner. As far as the Faculty of Business&Economics is concerned, they have quite wide offer of courses but all of them are in Spanish. The standard and quality of courses is actually up to teachers so before making a final declaration I suggest making an "investigation" in advance ;);).

Well, to get to Madrid, the best way is to take a plane and get off at Barajas Airport. In Madrid, to move through the city so called ABONO is a must!It costs about 35 euro/month and you can use all means of public transport (metro, bus). Madrid is localizated in the center of Spain so travalling by buses, trains you can visit the north of Spain (Pais Vasco, Cantabria, Galicia), the east coast ( Catalunia), the south (Andalucia) and have a trip to Portugal!! :):) Euro26 Student Card gives you some discounts.

be patient with spanish bureaucracy, and also don't stress too much about finding a flat- there is plenty of accomodation around.

Thorough courses, but no career orientation

Overall
The courses are very thorough and most teacher are highly involved. Nonetheless, the classes prove to be too theoretical and it's difficult to find the practical application and its usefulness when entering the job market.

Overall
