avoid some of the swanky madrid clubs - 20euro cover charge and 8euro drinks sometimes! there are plenty of cheap bars around and they are often more fun

To study overseas for a year via an exchange program provides you many advantages, you enlarge your discover a new country with all its culture, you improve your language skills, you enlarge you general knowledge, you meet people from every where, you become more open minded...And why Spain, because it's a country very wealth in a point of view of culture, it's one of the cheapest Erasmus destination in Europe, good weather, very well welcomed..and a lot of parties...

Course recommendations
Don't think it's easier because you're an Erasmus, some teachers don't make any difference. Try to integrate a spanish group if there are group work to do, because spanish students won't naturally go to talk to you. But if you make the effort, you'll find good friends !

I was travelling a lot more than at home, having a mobile with card it's cost much more (and all the organisation when you go out!Communication was so important!). The nightlife was cheaper in Madrid than here in Vienna, so even if went out more often, I spent less!
