Course recommendations
Very dry and uninteresting. Many lectures are 4 hours long and the minimum is 2 hours. Very difficult therefore to concentrate and appreciate the subject.

Good university, but the french students are mostly wealthy(none work) and extremely competitive. Making friends with the French is difficult as their whole lives revolve ariung their studies.

Final comments
I advise travelling around as it is the best opportunity you will have to do so. Try to involve yourself as much as possible in the culture as you will gain a lot from the experience. Make sure you buy the student rail card as you can make good savings and aim not to live in a private residence for students.(unless you like living alone and paying through the nose.)

Personal spending habits
Alcohol very expensive in comparison to UK. Rent was also exteremely expensive for the service received. Food is good but by no means cheaper and although rail-travel is excellent, the prices of flights are considerably higher.
