Even though the classes were taught in English interacting with the locals was almost impossible without the knowledge of French. Contrary to the majority of the French citizrns, the Toulousains are very friendly. They love to correct you, and if they speak a bit of English they are more than eager to chat.

Before Toulouse I had 7 years of french, but I could not speak it. After one month I already improved to the level that I can speak it fluently. It is only getting better now.
