Avis sur Swansea Institute of Higher Education (SIHE)

We became Swansea Institute of Higher Education in 1992, when we achieved our status as an independent Higher Education Corporation, but our roots go back over 100 years. Predecessor Colleges of Technology, Art and Teacher Training had been providing high quality education in the area prior to 1900. We are proud of our history and tradition and are committed to continuing our provision of high quality vocationally relevant education programmes. The Institute is firmly rooted in the community it serves and maintains close links with industry, commerce and the public services. Swansea Institute's study programmes cover a wide range of career opportunities. The basis of all of its courses is the application of knowledge to real-life situations, whether in the laboratory, workshop or classroom.
