Everything is more expensive in England that in my home country. And everything is more expensive in London than in the rest of England! As for travelling, London is very well positioned if you want to travel to Europe (Belgium, France, Holland, Germany, Scotland, etc) so it´s difficult not to be tented!

Well, I didn´t get a debit card, the bank just issued a savings card for me, so I couldn´t use it to pay, just to get money at ATMs... Cost-saving tip: walking from the campus to central London only takes half an hour, so it´s a nice walk when it´s sunny and you can spare the tube

The overall level of expense is more important in London than in Paris. Besides, I was used to live with my own family in Paris what was more expensive. For example, food and housing was shared between the members of the family.
Finally, I spent more in travel because of my trips to Paris to visit my family.
