Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

The University of Sofia (St. Kliment Ohridski) or simply Sofia University (Софийски университет, Св. Климент Охридски“, Sofiyski Universitet, Sv. Kliment Ohridski“) is the oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria, founded on 1 October 1888. The edifice of the university was constructed between 1924 and 1934 with the financial support of the brothers Evlogi Georgiev and Hristo Georgiev.

The university has 16 faculties and three departments, where over 21,000 students receive their education. In addition, it also disposes of a university library, a university press, a computer centre, a sports centre and several other structures. The current rector is Anastas Gerdzhikov.

Sofia University has been consistently ranked as the top university in Bulgaria according to national and international rankings, and is constant among the best world universities according to QS World University Rankings.

I have the chance to be teach by some of the most creative thinkers and disruptors of the paradigms in power in the philosophy, sociology, and marketing research at this time.
Named the Balkan Sorbonne,  my Uni gives me the academical ground to live my life in my way and not only to never accept the Status Quo as undisputable and unchangeable but to look for better solutions with impact lifelong. I will be always thankful forthe time I spend with all my great professors there.

I started my education four years ago at Faculty of Physics. My classmates and professors are very friendly and cooperative. The university program satisfies my expectations and triggered me for more knowledge of my field. It is pleasure to be part of this university.

I study medicine here . University is really friendly. Teachers are strict . They don't spoon feed us . Campus is like a 5 star hotel . It is a new building . Exams are strict in most of the subjects.

The thing that attracted me was the courses of my program and their contents. Vey creative and at the same time applicable to the market.

The courses are pretty detailed, the students are motivated to succeed and the professors are exceptionally hard-working.
