Seoul National University is proud of it's title as the top University, and you can feel it even as a language student

Korea, South, Vocational training
, 2020
Overall
I am currently attending SNU as a language student, and I am certainly not regretting it. Naturally the courses are intense, with high imput and high expectations. We are working on grammar points that friends of mine are studying in higher levels than I am currently in, only because we are very fast on our material.
If you understand how to work on a course and actually put in the effort, it is definitely worth it thoug. I am advancing quickly and I am more and more comfortable actually using Korean in everyday life.
The main con is probably how SNU sees it's language students. There is no way of not noticing the "second class student"-vibe that you have on campus when you compare the language institute to other colleges. The fact that language students can't access any other facility such as the library or gym on campus stresses the feeling.
However, being able to quickly advance and actually use SNU as a reference certainly outweights the cons.

It`s a tough experience, and a huge investment in terms of time. It will give you a competitive set of skills, but it will be up to your efforts to find a niche in the job market and capitalize on your assets.

Final comments
Remember that you should know how to listen. Do not be too outspoken in human relations from the very beginning. Be modest, respect the others, and be aware of age and hierarchical differences.

the overall experience on campus was good, the only inconvenience was the lack of diversity inside the student community. Professors were highly qualified and great at teaching.
