No financial surprises. There many discounts (museums, transport, etc) for students but you have to ask for them, otherwise they would not tell you that you have the right for one

The netherlands, when compared to Italy, are not too expensive. Rent was not cheap, but less expensive accomodation can be found. Nightlife is extremely cheap if compared to Milan's
