Good uni, cheap and new building and labs. Teachers are a little bit old and some struggle speaking english but you can work around that

Riga Technical University (RTU), compared to last year, has climbed to the 701–750 place in the «QS World University Rankings 2020», and this indicator is the highest out of all evaluation results of the three Latvian universities included in the ranking. The other two Latvian universities remained in the 801–1000 place range. RTU earned the highest praise for its engagement of foreign students, reputation among employers, and has improved its international prestige.

RTU has realy friendly and welcoming teachers. University provide various courses which teacher teach wit real passion and show interest in students actually learning the material. Before I studied bachelor in University of Latvia with around 280 other students. That made all process of studies impersonal. Now in RTU, Magister its completely different. We study 20 students. I have made more friends than in bachelor and professors actually know my name.

For our department, faculty was excellent. I like the university environment. But career opportunities for foreign students are hardly available.

overall a good staff and working environment but I feel there is less practical lectures and lack of career office for international graduates.

RTU has multicultural environment, great field-working professors and excellent ground knowledge package for new specialists.
