It's a good school in terms of academic career and quality of the courses. Nevertheless, for an international student studying abroad it is full of disappointments. Firstly, they don't set the Italian language as a prerequisite to enroll but when you enter the campus, very few of the office workers can speak English which makes our lives harder. Furthermore, those workers generally have this supercilious manner as if they have a right to be mad at us because we don't speak Italian. Well actually, even the professors are not very comfortable about speaking English. I feel like my English got worse along with the years I've spent here. About the residences, the management isn't student friendly at all, eg. we were able to store our stuff in the residence when they make us check out for only 20 days at the end of the semester, now we are also forced to store them elsewhere and we have to pay for the storage and transportation, of course. Recently, they changed the policy for placements of students into the rooms, they used to respect the students when they wanted to keep staying with their roommates in the upcoming years. Now, they place people randomly without respecting their comfort and friendship they established. These regulations might be less struggling for local students, but international students don't have their families to help you with all those things, and the closest thing we have to a family is our friends, but they don't even respect to that. As an international student, I don't feel like appreciated or cared about.
