In Finland you don't have problems, if you are speaking English. Almost everyone is speaking English.

Everyone was very helpful and made a big effort to speak english to me and communicate with me. I was very impressed and i was made to feel very welcome.

Everybody could speak English very well at the uni and in the city, so I didn't have any problems

I was amazed how all Finns R fluent in English and I was ashamed of my knowledge in the beginning. I had no problems with communication, language etc.
