Beginnings where quite hard for me!
Especially during classes!! particpation to classes is really important in the US and you have to raise your hand quite often. At the begining I had a hard time to follow all the debates and discussions within the class, but after 2 or 3 monthes things becames easier!
Actually you don't even realize that you're getting better and better everyday, and that's the best part of it!

I had a pretty good level at school and some difficulties when I had to speak to students. i did not know their slang and I was seen like a british serious student ...The impact was more social than at school. I got excellent grades but it took me longer to meet other students and talk to them with no problem.
