In order to get the most out of one's trip to a foreign country, that person must immerse him or herself in that country's culture. The best way to do this is by living with a host family.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my host family, and though I know it would be unfair to base my impression of Ireland entirely on them, they did make a very good impression upon me.
