Montreal is part of Quebec. The people in Montreal speak French, but in another way then I have learned. It's more of a dialect, that in my opinion doesn't sounds as nice as the 'proper' utilisation of the french language.
I really want to improve my language skills in French, so when I get the change I try to speak French with a local. Besides this, I followed for 7 weeks a intensive language course, and from 14-3 I'll start a communication course. Both in French of course, at an institute called YMCA.
Before departure I already followed classes in english. I can honestly say that I control this language.

ALL THE STUDENTS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD HAD A DIFFERENT LEVEL IN ENGLISH, SO IT MADE MORE EASE FOR ME TO ADAPT MY SELF TO THIS EXPERIENCE.

I couldn't answer question 3 proper, because I'm still right in the middle of the exchange. But I must say that I like the essays and projects during the courses. The same is true for the exams. I think that students are more focused when exams and essays are given during the course instead of at the end

Personal spending habits
Food is generally cheaper. Phone for local calls was included in rent, and I didnt use a mobile phone. Rent was somewhat more expensive, as the need for housing was more pressing then the willingness to spend time finding a cheap housing. Nightlife/Travel - more then at home, so costs were higher.
