Overall
MGIMO is famous for its foreign language speaking professors! It is a great place to learn new languages (at least two) as these classes are scheduled like everyday.
My group consisted of diverse ethnicities and the atmosphere was amazing.
Depending on you main subjects the review will be different but i did international relations - it was quite interesting.

Russian is very hard to learn. I had been studying it for one year in Portugal when I went to Moscow. I can say that my Russian improved quite a bit, and it could have improve even more hadn't I been accompained with other Portuguese fellows, with whom I was talking all the time. I could only notice this few days before returning to Portugal.

In Moscow there are a lot of must-see museums. Especially i would advise to try and visit as many theaters as possible, great cultural life. As for the nightlife - absolutely horrible. It is dangerous and unsatisfying.
