“Studying in Germany-how is this legal??”

Valoración globalFor such a discounted education compared to the US, I would recommend to anyone wanting to get a masters, to get it in Germany. Although you will have to do much more self-learning, they provide you with everything you need as long as you have the work ethic to perform at the necessary level.
LMU has been a wonderful university with almost as many student incentives/opportunities as any university back home.

“Pleasant winter semester at the LMU”

I spent one winter semester at the LMU at the faculty of Literature and it was overall an enriching experience. Classes start relatively late (October) but the university gives enough time and support for Erasmus students to choose adequate courses. Teachers also take into account each individual exchange student, and I felt mostly included in the German student life and community.

To not be scared. Really impossible to not enjoy the year. Make sure to do the induction course, very useful.

Listen to radio station M94,5, excellent uncommercial music. Make the most of the year, it will go very quickly. Do not worry about academic life, professors are kind and helpful to exchange students.

Travel to Eastern Europe. Use Mitfahrzentrale (very cheap - carpooling all over Europe). Do the IUC induction course. Do not panic at lack of language skills, just make sure to meet Germans and interact with them and tell them to correct you! Join clubs and or get a job.

I think it is a good university for economics, I think it is the second one in Germany, but students try hard, very hard, and sometimes it is difficult to pass the exams, they don't make many concessions with erasmus students.

I went to Berlin, Innsburg, Salzburg, Prague, there are a lot of pretty close places to go!
Students Hostals are very cheap and most of them are nice and clean.

Be prepared to be alone and feel out of place for a few days... It's normal but it will pass! Take something to entertain you like dvds or something you like to do alone for the first days. Take some pictures from your friends to put in your room.

Its very good. The Erasmus Association works very good. Just remember to arrive there a weak earlier to buy a book that has all the courses and send e-mails to the teachers saying that you're erasmus and asking to go to their courses.

If you are thinking of going then go! If you don't have much money you can always find a hob anywhere - it easy. You will have lots of fun and the grades usually are better than when we are in our own country ;)

go to german people. then they are opened with you, they don't forget you and they bring a lot to you
