Munich is in the center of Europe, so it is necessary to take advantage of international travel opportunities while here. The cultural offering are wide and varied and make an excellent ballance to academics. All in all, a rich and interesting city.

because the telephone was more expensve since i phoned in foreign countries. i spend lot of many in travels because there were a lot of things to see around. otherwise tne food is more expensive but i spent less because i eat less in germany

* Kunstpark Ost - about 20 nightclubs at the same place. A must to see, but it's really not soo good.
* Atomic Cafe - good nightclub in the city centre. Tip: You have to look "cool" (not necessarily "rich") and bring some girls with to get in!
* Alabama park - pay 30 DM, then all drinks are free. Music quite OK - a bit mainstream, but if youre in the right mood...
* Beergardens - there are *a lot* of them, and the beer is *really* good. Just stay away from Löwenbrau, it's as bad as any non-München beer.
* Oktoberfest - in the end of September. Beer, beer, beer and a fantastic ambience. You can even without problem go there alone, you'll always find someone to drink with.
* Englisher Garten - the worlds larges urban garden. Great, just a few hundred meters from the University.
* Westpark - more beatiful than Englisher Garten, just not right next the uni.

Final comments
Travel as much as you can and enjoy the beautiful location of Munich! More people can share the Bayernticket or the Schönes Wochenende ticket. It comes out very cheep and you can ever go to Salzburg on these tickets.
