Sweden is expensive. You really have to watch your spendings. I did not get myself a phone connection, and in the town I did all travelling by bike (which is no problem).

Sweden is a bit more expensive in most any field, esp. night life. Food can be ok, depending on the expectations... Spent more on traveling because I just took more chances to travel when I could, knowing that I would only be there for a year

Food and drinks are really expensive here in Sweden. But, housing is really cheap (according to the services that we receive). More money in travelling, because that is one of the most important point of one year abroad.

It's quite cheap to travel abroad from Sweden; you can save lot of money preparing your own food; the student rooms are not that expensive.
