The ERASMUS meeting point and a graet pub: de vettige Swa. I also liked the Highlander pub, which was very cozy and the jazz café close to the campus. A real highlight is the medieval Pelgrom pub, which is in a caveunderneath the ground. Amazing athmosphere! There are tons of great pubs,restaurants and fun locations, plus, there are always events organized by student organizations

The rent for my room was an extra expenditure, which I do not have at home, plus the food.. But I guess, if I would live on my own, the costs wuld be more or less the same.

Here it is needed to take under consideration the field of my studies which is translation. It gives a wide range of comunicaton skills not only in one lanuage, so I did not have any problems. If somebody did not speak English we could also switch into Spanish or try to cimmunicate in Dutch, which at some point also became possible to some extand.

Everybodu in Antwerpen speaks English, so it was not difficult to comunicate with them. However, I attended some Flemish courses in order to integrate myself.

If returning, I would choose: i would opt for the same accomodation.

Because I enjoyed it.

Disco: Zillion. Places to go: the house of Rembrandt. Pub: Pelgrom and the jenever pub at the end of the Pelgrom's street. Frituur nr.1 in Hogestraat!
