I went to the international beer summit. The university is located beween Osaka and Kyoto so you can easily reach Kyoto for temples and so on. For going out, Osaka is the best. YOU should go to the SAZA E

Plenty of clubs and bars in Osaka, which is around 30 mins away from the city. Hirakata City itself is pretty boring.

So far going to Osaka is the Best, it takes about 1 hour in train.
Close to the University in Hirakata City there is a good place to eat traditional Japanese Sukiyaki, its name is Asian Days!!

Osaka is THE place if u are into dance music. places like Grand Cafe and Saza-E gets famous DJ:s all the time!

The bars in Osaka. Bikkuri ramen right near the university. Hanging out in the foreign student lounge. Im sure you'll find places on your own.

Social events within the university itself were difficult -- foreign students were discouraged from joining societies with the normal students.
Due to Kansai Gaidai's close proximity to Osaka, however, there's plenty of things to do.
