Joensuun Yliopisto (JNS)

I highly recommend Joensuu University to everbody who are opened and want to get some nice experiences from Finland. Forget your prejudices concerning Finnish people. Lot of Finnish students are very friendly and opened.And you will make a lot of friends from all around the world, you can travel, have fun....I think it is worth studying abroad at another university even if you have some hard days -dark days:( I think many of us,exchange students returned home with a lot of nice memories.I had hard times here after my returning....I definitely missed a lot of things, friends, saunas, 'makkara', lakes, the landscape, snow! I am sure I will go back to Finland and I keep in touch with some people I met there.

I really enjoyed my exchange, it was w vwry intersting experience, i discovered a new culture and have friends everywhere.

In a overwall view i loved my experience, most of all in terms of personal growning. I loved the feeling of responsability and the friendships that i did. I advice this experience for all the students that seek for self-growing, academical improvement and fun!! enjoy!!!

I was very much satisfied with my accomodation which was a nice apartment at Noljakka.I had my own room (it is not that common in Hungary) and was nice sharing the flat with two other students.The surrounding area was beautiful,I cycled through the forest every morning to University. I highly reccomend Noljakka which is a peaceful place and many other students live very near to you so you can gather during long evenings and nights for dinner and for parties. The only thing was the phone that I missed from the flat but you'll see in Finland everybody has mobils...

If you are from a warm country and you like the environment for sure you'll like it very much.

Perfect opportunity to visit Russia (St. Petersburg, Moscow,...), skiing beyond arctic circle
