there is absolutely no need always to go for the most expensive hotels. Even if one is afraid of dirt and such, even cheaper places are usually well kept.

Take the opportunity to study together with Indias brightest MBA students. Go to Bombay and explore this amazing city. Travel as much as you can. And get a few tailormade suits from De Souza (above Upper Crust).

At universtiy, everyone spoke english, so there was no difficulty, but as soon as one stepped out of the campus, one entered a wholly different world, where one had absolutely no means of communication. It was a wonderful experience.
