Hochschule of Macromedia University
Mennatallah I
Germany,
Design (Fashion, Graphic, Industrial, Web), 2025
Overall
I couldn’t find my university but it’s macromedia in Berlin. I’m a fashion design major. Everyone is nice, communicative and I love that people in my university are really diverse because I love learning about other cultures. I’ve been to Amsterdam and other places in the Netherlands before and I fell in love with the country and it’s people. I’m really passionate about arts, fashion and makeup and it’d be a dream to participate in the internship.

Careers
I’m not sure if they can help us with internships, I haven’t communicated about it with a lot of my professors but I was looking for internships in Berlin or in the Netherlands and I found this internship which I’m really excited about.

Großartige Universität mit, zu mindestens "damals", alten Haudegen als Professoren, die viel zu lehren hatten, was nicht in Büchern geschrieben steht.

Personal comments
I spoke absolutely no German before I arrived in Berlin, but as with any language, hearing it spoken 24-7 helped immensely, and I'm sure that needing to use German on a daily basis contributed significantly to my progress in speaking it. Most people I came in contact with were patient with me if I had to struggle to communicate, and after a while the struggle eased up a bit.

Course recommendations
Try not to get carried away with taking obscure courses as the teaching methods are different and you tend to learn more if you have a basic idea about the subject previous to your arrival.

Initially it was very unclear what Humboldt University required of their Erasmus students. A better breifing for both the exchange students and the recieving lecturers would help.

Berlin is CHEAP (for a Londoner)! This means you can go out almost every night, to the coolest places on the planet. The only problem is...this inevitably leads to extremes, meaning you eventually get broke. The benifit being that by this point your also physically broke, meaning you give both your bank and back a break.
