It depends on the level of your home university. If this level is quite high, don't expect much. You'll have a good time.

It liked my stay in Holland. As it was fall/winter when i was there, the weather was quite bad. Otherwise, there is a lot to visit.

I wish I had known...
I was already familiar with both the country and the language so there was nothing more I would have wanted to know.

If you haven't lived abroad before, think twice before leaving. If you are not fond of teamwork and socialising, don't bother. Be open-minded and accepting and you will have a great time!

There could be more interest paid towards helping students more and being student-oriented organisation. The management could be better too, since through my experience I saw that there was a lot of communication missing between different managerial layers. However, the internationality of the university is great and I would suggest them to keep cooperating with many different foreign universities.

Take good spirits with you when you are going to Amsterdam, because it is a city that never sleeps and if you want to, you can meet many wonderful and fun people and have a great time there. However, be aware of you personal belongings, especially in crouded central places and public transport. I had some unfortunate experiences there myself.

Most teachers at my students are not really that good at teaching and in my opinion slightly above average in teaching. Luckily there are some teachers that really try to give interesting and engaging lessons where you can immediately apply that content of the course and who are even available for course related questions outside working hours.
The students are a mix of highly motivated students but there are also a lot of students who are just trying to pass with minimal effort, and it would be nice if motivated students wouldn't be forced to work with them.

Careers
It depends, but in my opinion the could do a better job to help students find an internship. During the times that I was looking for an internship, I usually dealt with a combative instead of a collaborative attitude. And one time when I tried to make sure that the internships

Pros
Some teachers try to help students and even recommend them to companies that they know of and approve.
Cons
The staff at my university seem to badly informed and a lot of times I have figure thigs out on my (eventhough it's their job to do it or atleast help me with it). Because of this end up losing a lot of time which I could have put into my studies.
