Great nightspots include Cafe Campus on Tuesdays and Balroom on Thursdays. You'll find this is the place that HEC Students go to on these nights. A great brunch spot is L'avenue - going there is a must!

Québécois is not french! Beware! It takes some time until you get to understand it. And even in the end there were many expressions I wouldn't understand. The French neither.
