Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Being near to many people your own age is great for social contacts, and excellent for acquiring useful information. It's safe, comfortable and usually just great fun. Mind you I'm not fussy about staying somewhere else. I'm quite easy-going.

We shared a floor with the 7 of us. Contacts were easily made. Because the situation was the same for everyone, it was easy to relate. We had cleaners for the toilets and showers, and had a general inspection every week for safety and hugiene. The relationship between security and staff and the students was very good. Problems were swiftly dealt with. The only drawback was the price, but for the facilities we had, the cleaners, the kitchen, the 24 hour security I suppose it was necessary.

Always had a good laugh and got a better insight into working life and different experiences at work. They usually want to chill out when they get home, which makes a cosy atmosphere and great fun.

My accomodation in Glasgow was not provided by the university as I entered directly into second year and the halls of residence are prioritised for first-year students. I moved several times from Govan (don't go there!) to Hyndland (quite expensive almost posh) to Partick (somewhere in between amongst the commons, cheaper and quite close to student areas)

Good accommodation. You will find almost all international students there. That's also the reason why it is sometimes really noisy. GOod but expensive!

But now I would like a place for myself. The last time we were living with tree girls. It was great, but it is also great to have your own space.
